Even though the Gaby Davis Foundation took the summer off, the fundraising efforts of others continued! We are so thankful to all of you who choose to donate to our charity.
First of all, earlier this summer 7 year old Hannah Deck of Port Coquitlam decided that for her 8th birthday party she was not going to ask for gifts. Hannah asked all her friends to donate money to the Gaby Davis Foundation. So on Hannah’s 8th birthday she raised $240 for GDF! Thank you so very much Hannah!
Secondly, Gaby’s brother, Zac, decided to ask family to donate to GDF instead of gifts for his 17th birthday at the beginning of August. Zac raised $350! Way to go Zac!
Also this summer, 10 year old Krista McDiarmid raised $460 and donated over 18 inches of her hair. Krista’s hair will go to the House of Miss Rose in Langley. The House of Miss Rose will be making real hair wigs for kids with the first wig making machine in Canada! How exciting! Great job Krista!
And 7 year old Matthew decided to donate over 1/2 of his birthday gifts to GDF so we can give them to kids battling cancer at BC Children’s Hospital. Thank you Matthew!!
